    Gadwal: On Friday, District Additional Collector (Revenue) Lakshmi Narayana led a special event where bonuses, clothes, and incentives were distributed to porters and sweepers in celebration of the Dussehra festival. The event took place in the Additional Collector’s chamber and was organized by the District Civil Supplies Department.

    Speaking at the event, Lakshmi Narayana explained that the Civil Supplies Corporation provides bonuses and clothes every year to porters and sweepers working at MLS (Mandated Logistics Supply) points. This helps them celebrate the Dussehra festival with their families in a joyful manner.

    This year, porters working at MLS points in Gadwal, Alampur, Aija, and Manopad received an incentive of ₹6,500 each. Additionally, they were given ₹800 in cash instead of a sweet box, two sets of uniform clothes, and ₹1,300 for stitching charges. Sweepers were also given similar incentives. They received two sets of uniform clothes, ₹100 per blouse for stitching charges, ₹6,500 in cash, and ₹800 in place of a sweet box.

    The event was attended by District Civil Supplies Manager Vimala, District Civil Supplies Officer Swami Kumar, as well as porters and other staff members.
