Hyderabad: The State Government is planning to hold a special session of the State Assembly towards the end of October. The main purpose of this session will be to discuss important city development projects, such as the Musi riverfront development and the HYDRA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection) project. Other topics include the fourth city development plan and a comprehensive sewerage master plan. These efforts aim to make Hyderabad a better place to live and attract more investments.
The government believes that this discussion is necessary due to recent criticism from the opposition. By holding the debate, they hope to clear up any doubts the opposition may have created in the minds of the public.
According to the government, the opposition is trying to create obstacles for the project by raising unnecessary concerns for their own political gain. The debate will give the government a chance to explain how these projects will benefit the people and expose the opposition’s manipulative tactics. After the discussion, the HYDRA bill is expected to be approved.
Additionally, sources say that the Chief Minister will provide a report on the demolition of illegal structures in the Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zones of various lakes in the Greater Hyderabad area. The report will also cover actions taken to prevent encroachment on water bodies within the city.
