Government Whip and Aler MLA, Beerla Ilayya, emphasized that the government’s goal is to uplift fishermen economically through various development programs.

On Tuesday, in Gaurayapally village in Yadagirigutta Mandal, MLA Ilayya, along with District Collector Hanumantu K, released 30,000 fishlings into a local pond. This initiative is aimed at boosting fish production in the area.

During his speech, MLA Ilayya explained that releasing fishlings into ponds with a 100% subsidy helps fishermen and the Mudiraj communities improve their economic situation. He highlighted that the government provides fish seeds free of charge to fishermen every year. With sufficient water in the ponds, the government is ensuring that fishermen have the resources they need to raise fish successfully.

District Collector Hanumantu added that with water being released from the Godavari River, all fishermen should seize this opportunity to grow and improve their livelihoods. He stressed that the government is committed to supporting fishermen and enhancing their financial well-being by increasing fish production.
