Alampur, Telangana – Konda Surekha, the Minister for Endowments, Environment, and Forest Protection, visited Alampur today to participate in the Brahmotsav celebrations. She represented the Telangana State Government and presented traditional silk attire to the Goddess as part of the festivities.
When Minister Konda Surekha arrived in Alampur, she was warmly welcomed by Congress leader Dr. SA Sampath Kumar and local Congress workers. They greeted her with large garlands to show their support and appreciation.
At the Sri Sri Sri Bal Brahmeshwara Swamy and Jogulamba Ammavaru temples, the priests greeted the minister with a ceremonial pot of holy water. After paying her respects at the temples, Minister Surekha, together with Dr. Sampath Kumar, presented the traditional attire to the Goddess. She also took part in the homa (sacred fire ritual) and the final ceremony of the pooja.
After the temple rituals, Minister Surekha visited the nearby Prasad Scheme. She expressed her commitment to improving the area with the help of Dr. Sampath Kumar. She mentioned her goal to elevate the Alampur Jogulamba temple to the same level as the famous Tirumala Tirupati temple, acknowledging the temple’s spiritual importance.
The event was attended by several important figures, including temple committee chairman Konkala Nageshwar Reddy, temple Executive Officer Purandeshwar, the District Collector, the SP, IFS officers, and many Congress leaders and activists.
