Water Supply Disruption in Mahabubnagar District
Residents of over 20 villages in Addakula and Moosapet mandals of Mahabubnagar district will face water supply disruptions for the next three days. This is due to repair works on the Mission Bhagiratha pipeline near Vemula stage, located along National Highway 44 in Addakal mandal. The disruption is expected to last until October 6.
According to Putta Venkat Reddy, the Executive Engineer of Mission Bhageeratha Grid in Mahabubnagar, water supply will be halted from 6:00 AM on October 3 to 6:00 AM on October 6. The affected areas include two major mandals, Moosapet and Addakula, along with several other villages in the district.
The interruption is caused by road-widening works along National Highway 44, particularly near the Vemula stage. As a result, over 20 villages will experience water shortages. Venkat Reddy has advised residents to make alternative arrangements for the next three days while the maintenance work is completed.
In total, 17 villages in Addakal mandal and 3 villages in Moosapet mandal—Konreddipalli, Nandipet, and Shankalmaddi—will be affected by the water supply disruption. The authorities assure that normal water supply will be restored once the repairs are finished.
