The Hyderabad police have arrested a 42-year-old man for allegedly tricking people by promising to solve their problems using black magic. The man, identified as Mohd Ilyas Ahmed, lives in Jahangirabad, Bandlaguda, but is originally from Narayanpet in Mahbub Nagar district.
The police, along with the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force and Bandlaguda police, seized several items related to black magic. These included photos, threads, Rs 8,000 in cash, and a mobile phone.
According to the police, Ilyas moved to Hyderabad in 2012 in search of work. Since then, he has been deceiving people by claiming he could solve their problems using black magic. For the past two months, he had been living near Chilla, Jahangirabad, where he continued to lure people by charging them large sums of money.
Acting on specific information, the Task Force team apprehended Ilyas.
