VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday urged officials to speed up repair and relief efforts in the flood-hit Budameru region.

Chandrababu Naidu visited the areas affected by recent floods to inspect the damage caused by breaches in canals and waterlogged regions. He started his visit from the district collectorate, where he interacted with citizens and accepted donations for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

He then traveled through Enikepadu to check on the flood damage along the Ryves and Eluru canals. Upon reaching the Budameru area, where repairs were already underway, he stressed the importance of completing the work immediately. This, he said, would help prevent further breaches and reduce the risks to the community.

At Kesarpalli Bridge, Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the flood situation in the Budameru drain. He instructed officials to monitor the situation closely and make sure everything was under control. He also visited high-risk areas like Devinagar and Singh Nagar, where he emphasized the need for quick and long-term solutions to prevent future floods.
