Hyderabad Traffic Advisory for Ganesh Idol Transportation
The Hyderabad city traffic police have issued an important advisory for the period from September 5 to 7. This advisory is related to the transportation of Ganesh idols from the Dhoolpet area.
Starting from September 5, vehicles carrying Ganesh idols will be allowed to move only from MJ Bridge towards the Gandhi Statue, continuing on to Dhoolpet. Other vehicles will not be permitted to travel from MJ Bridge to Puranapool during this time.
At the Gandhi Statue in Puranapool, heavy vehicles will be allowed to pass between 10 pm and 6 am. However, drivers must show a purchase receipt at the entry point to proceed.
Several sub-entry points have been designated, including Raheempura Road, Excise Office Lane, Balramgally Lane, Aramghar Colony, and Anitha Towers. These will serve as alternative routes for vehicles entering the area.
For vehicles exiting the area, the designated routes include Shivalalnagar Road, O P Tappachabutra, Asifnagar T Junction, Boiguda Kaman, and Ghode ki Kabar, leading towards Takkarwadi T Junction.
At Boiguda Kaman, all vehicles will exit and move towards Darussalam – Ek-Minar (Nampally), Alaska petrol pump T Junction (Goshamahal) – MJ Market – Chatri – Bhoolaxmi Temple, Afzalgunj – Puranapool, and finally to Bahadurpura.
Additionally, vehicles at Syndicate Bank, Agapura, can exit and proceed along the designated routes. Vehicles at Jirra (O P Tappachabutra) will exit from Jirra of Tappachabutra and proceed towards routes like Karwan, Langerhouse, and Asifnagar.
No vehicles will be allowed inside the Dhoolpet market from the exit routes, including Mallepally X Roads, Boiguda Kaman, Ek-Minar of Nampally, and Alaska petrol pump T Junction (Goshamahal). However, small vehicles are allowed to enter the Dhoolpet market at any time, but only from the designated entry points.
The police have also designated specific parking areas at Jummerath Bazar and on the 100-feet road in Kulsumpura. Other transport vehicles and RTC buses will not be permitted from MJ Bridge to Puranapool.
The traffic police have urged all vehicle drivers to check their vehicle’s condition before heading to the market. Drivers are also requested to follow the signage displayed along the routes.
Finally, the police have requested the cooperation of all citizens with the Hyderabad traffic police to ensure smooth transportation of the Ganesh idols.
