Heavy rains have caused severe waterlogging at Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School (KGBV) in Arvapally, Jajireddygudem Mandal, Suryapet district. The entire school is flooded, with water reaching knee level.

Due to the flooding, around 200 students and teachers are unable to leave the school. Authorities have moved the students temporarily to the Srirama Function Hall. Some students were also sent home after their parents were informed.

Officials are warning the public to stay indoors unless it’s absolutely necessary to go out. They have also advised people living in low-lying areas to remain alert. In case of emergencies, people have been asked to contact the authorities for help.

Additionally, the government has announced a holiday for all educational institutions tomorrow because of the ongoing heavy rains.
