BC Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, along with MLAs Kavwampally Satyanarayana and Medipally Satyam, district Collector Pamela Satpathy, and other officials, inspected the lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar on Sunday.

Speaking to the media, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar highlighted that heavy rains have been falling across the state. He urged people to stay alert and warned officials to avoid any carelessness. The Minister mentioned that the continuous rains over the past two days have filled ponds and tanks with water.

He also assured that there is currently no need to evacuate people from their homes to relief centers, as there has been no loss of life. However, he noted that traffic has been disrupted in some areas, including Kohad-Mulkanur and Illantakunta mandals, due to flooding on the roads.

The Minister further explained that several reservoirs, such as Mid Manair, Lower Manair, Ranga Nayaka Sagar, Mallanna Sagar, and Konda Pochamma Sagar, have received significant water inflows. He assured that water supply would be maintained down to Kodad. He also mentioned that authorities in Karimnagar are closely monitoring the situation and are actively clearing waterlogged areas.

Finally, the Minister appealed to everyone to refrain from politicizing the situation, especially in the face of such adversity. He urged people not to engage in politics related to the rains, projects, and agriculture.
