Hyderabad celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm in various State Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs).
At the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), the chairman, Professor R Limbadri, highlighted the council’s significant role in advancing higher education in the state. He urged all council employees to contribute actively to the educational development of both the country and the state. During the event, he proudly unfurled the Tricolour. The ceremony was attended by Vice-chairman Professor S K Mahmood, Secretary Prof. Sriram Venkatesh, Joint Secretary CS Prakash, and staff members from both the council and the Telangana Fee Regulatory Committee.
In another event at the Osmania University (OU) Arts College, the in-charge Vice Chancellor, Danakishore, hoisted the national flag and received a guard of honor. He addressed the gathering, which included students, researchers, faculty, and employees. During his speech, he paid tribute to the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. He also reminded everyone of Osmania University’s key role in significant movements like ‘Vande Mataram’ and Quit India. Furthermore, he emphasized the need to uphold democratic values and work towards creating an inclusive and egalitarian society.
