    Hyderabad: The Chief Minister of Telangana, A Revanth Reddy, has shared that the World Bank might help the state by providing funds at a low-interest rate. This support is expected to aid developmental activities in Telangana.

    During the 78th Independence Day celebrations at Golkonda Fort, Revanth Reddy expressed his happiness about the discussions with the World Bank. He mentioned that the bank agreed to offer financial aid at favorable terms. The CM emphasized that his government intends to avoid borrowing at high-interest rates, which would place a heavy financial burden on the people.

    He criticized the previous BRS government for negatively impacting the state’s economy. According to him, the Congress government inherited a huge debt of Rs 7 lakh crore, which is ten times more than during the state’s bifurcation.

    Revanth Reddy highlighted the success of his government’s flagship schemes. He announced that the details of the Rythu Bharosa scheme would soon be released, following recommendations from the Cabinet sub-committee. This scheme aims to give a bonus of Rs 500 to farmers growing fine varieties of paddy, with 33 varieties already identified. Additionally, an integrated Act to resolve land issues is in the pipeline.

    Despite criticism from the opposition BRS, the CM stated that the Congress government has spent Rs 31,000 crore on waiving farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh in one go. He assured that all deserving farmers would benefit from this initiative.

    Revanth Reddy aims to promote Telangana as the “Gateway of the World” and plans to establish a Skill Development University. He acknowledged Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, for agreeing to lead the university.

    The Chief Minister also mentioned plans to form an Education Commission soon. Anganwadi centers will be upgraded to serve as pre-primary schools. The government is committed to providing quality education, skill development, and job creation as a priority.

    Addressing concerns about drug and cybercrimes, Revanth Reddy stated that the government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards drug trafficking. T-NAB, the anti-drug unit, has been strengthened. A call center with the number 1930 is available 24/7 to handle complaints related to cyber fraud.

    Lastly, the CM advised the youth to be cautious of misleading statements from rival parties that could harm their future. He mentioned that a job calendar has been released. The government has secured investments worth Rs 31,532 crore, which are expected to create 30,000 job opportunities in Telangana.
