Telangana has introduced the third phase of its farmer loan waiver program. This phase is designed to help farmers who have loans ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 2 lakh. Approximately 14.45 lakh farmers will benefit from this loan waiver.
Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy has called this phase a significant achievement. He highlighted that a waiver of Rs. 2 lakh per farmer is unprecedented in the history of India. Reddy also mentioned that the current government’s actions are much more effective compared to the previous administration, which did not fully deliver on its loan waiver promises.
This third phase of the loan waiver is expected to offer significant financial relief to farmers in Telangana. The state’s commitment to supporting its agricultural community is part of a larger effort to improve the economic stability of farmers and promote growth in the agricultural sector.
