The Hyderabad police have announced a traffic advisory for the Independence Day 2024 celebrations at Rani Mahal Lawns, Golconda Fort. The advisory will be effective from 6 am to 12 pm on Thursday.

The road from Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort will be closed to general traffic. Only those with A (gold), A (white), and B (blue) car passes will be allowed entry, as they have been invited to the celebrations.

Invitees with these passes coming from areas like Secunderabad, Banjara Hills, Masab Tank, and Mehdipatnam should follow a specific route. They need to go via Rethi Bowli and Nanal Nagar Junctions, take a left towards Balika Bhavan, continue over the Langar House Flyover, cross Tippu Khan Bridge, reach Ramdevguda Junction, and then take a right turn towards Makkai Darwaza and Golconda Fort Gate.

Parking arrangements have been specified based on the type of car pass. A (gold) pass holders should park on the main road opposite the Fort gate towards Fateh Darwaza Road. A (white) pass holders should park at Golconda bus stop, B (blue) pass holders at the football ground, and C (green) pass holders should park at Owaisi Ground after taking a left turn from Seven Tombs and Banjara Darwaza.

D (red) pass holders need to follow the route through Shaikpet Nala, Tolichowki, and Seven Tombs to Banjara Darwaza. They should alight at Priyadarshini School and park their vehicles. E (black) pass holders, representing the general public, should come under the Langer House flyover, proceed towards Fateh Darwaza, and park at HUDA Park.

Residents from Shaikpet and Tolichowki can park their vehicles inside the Seven Tombs and Deccan Park. Free RTC buses will be available from these locations to the venue.

After the event, vehicles with A (gold), A (white), and B (blue) passes will exit via Makkai Darwaza, Ramdevguda, and Langar House. C pass vehicles will exit through Bada Bazaar, Fateh Darwaza, or Banjara Darwaza, and Seven Tombs. D pass vehicles will leave through Banjara Darwaza and Seven Tombs. E pass vehicles should use the same routes they used to arrive.

The police have urged all invitees to display their car passes on the left side of their vehicle’s windscreen for easy identification. They should arrive on time as per their invitations and cooperate with police officers managing routes, alighting points, and parking areas.

Residents near Golconda Fort are requested not to park on the main roads leading to the fort. Meanwhile, at Secunderabad Parade Grounds, traffic will be diverted at Tivoli Junction towards Brooke Bond and NCC Junction. Traffic from Tivoli towards Plaza will be restricted between 8 and 10 am if necessary.
