A tragic incident occurred in Kurnool district on Wednesday morning, where a leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was brutally murdered. The victim, Vakiti Srinivasulu, was 45 years old.

Early in the morning, Srinivasulu left his home to attend to personal needs. During this time, attackers took advantage of his vulnerability by throwing chili powder in his eyes. They then murdered him and fled the scene. The incident shocked the community, and many family members and villagers quickly gathered at the location. This tragic event left his wife and children heartbroken.

Local law enforcement, including DSP Srinivas Reddy and CI Jayanna, arrived to evaluate the situation. They registered a case and began an investigation. TDP MLA KE Shyambabu visited the grieving family and spoke with the DSP about the murder circumstances. He urged the police to quickly identify and arrest the perpetrators. Srinivasulu was an important supporter of MLA Shyambabu and had helped significantly in his electoral success.

DSP Srinivas Reddy assured that the suspects would be caught soon, with assistance from a dog squad and a forensic team. Initial investigations showed that Srinivasulu had no known conflicts with anyone in the village. Authorities discovered beer bottles about a kilometer away from the murder scene and noted that the attackers used lethal weapons from behind.
