Aurum Equity Partners, a well-known investment company, has announced plans to invest $400 million, which is around ₹3,350 crores, to build a modern, AI-driven green data center in Hyderabad. This new investment will be implemented in stages and is a major increase from their previous commitment of ₹400 crores announced last year.
During his visit to the United States, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with IT Industries Minister Sridhar Babu, met with Venkat Bussa, the CEO and Chairman of Aurum Equity. After their meeting, the company unveiled its ambitious expansion plans for Telangana.
The new project aims to create a high-tech 100 MW AI-based data center, which is expected to bring many job opportunities to the area. Chief Minister Reddy is excited about the data center, highlighting its potential to provide numerous jobs in Hyderabad.
Minister Sridhar Babu commended Aurum Equity’s choice to invest in the new data center, stating that it will help Hyderabad continue to grow as a significant data center hub.
Venkat Bussa emphasized that the project aims to reduce the digital service gap between rural and urban areas. He believes that the advanced data center will improve access to important government services like e-service, e-payment, and e-education for everyone.
This major investment by Aurum Equity Partners strengthens Hyderabad’s role in the tech and data center industry, promising a better future for job seekers and improving access to services across the state.
