A similar real-life situation is happening at the 2BHK Dignity Housing Colony in Dammaiguda. The colony, which is almost finished, will soon house nearly 4,000 families. However, the future residents are worried about the lack of basic amenities, particularly health centers.

The locals have sent a request to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, asking for immediate action to fix these problems and provide essential services.

The residents pointed out that while houses are being built, there is no drinking water or electricity supply. They also mentioned that Dammaiguda Municipality lacks proper health centers, transportation options, and educational facilities like schools and colleges.

Already, over 2,000 families are living near the new colony, and soon there will be more than 4,000 families, but still, there are no proper facilities.

“When construction started in 2016, we informed officials about these issues, but nothing was done. Last year, a small health clinic opened, but it’s not enough for all treatments, and the only government school lacks proper infrastructure. We are moving to the Housing Colony next month and are concerned about how we will live there without basic facilities,” said Sandeep, a resident.

Recently, they have submitted a letter to the Telangana Chief Minister, asking for urgent action to solve these civic issues and provide essential services.

Anil Rao, another resident, added, “The 2BHK Dignity Housing Colony is ready, but there is no proper drinking water pipeline or electricity connection. We will be moving in within 10 days, but nothing has been done regarding health centers and transportation facilities.”
