To meet the increasing power demand and reduce transmission losses, Rs 3,017 crore will be invested in building 11 new Extra High Tension (EHT) sub-stations and 31 Extra High Voltage (EHV) power transformers.

Additionally, the government will set up storage plants at suitable locations across the State. This move aims to ensure a more stable and efficient power supply.

As part of its pollution prevention measures, the government is promoting electric vehicles. Currently, there are 450 electric vehicle charging stations, and an additional 100 stations will be set up in Greater Hyderabad. To make these facilities more accessible, the TGEV Mobile App will be launched.

Looking ahead to 2030, a new energy policy focusing on non-conventional and pollution-free power generation is being drafted. This policy aims to not only meet the State’s needs but also achieve surplus power.

One of the government’s main objectives is to provide uninterrupted power supply to agriculture, industry, and other sectors. Financial discipline in electricity corporations will also be a priority, especially since these corporations faced issues due to the previous government’s laxity.

Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted that the Congress government managed to provide 24-hour uninterrupted electricity, even during peak summer seasons.
