Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) managing director, Ashok Reddy, conducted a surprise inspection at the water board customer care centre on Monday.
During his visit, he reviewed user calls and responses and spoke with some users personally. He listened to call recordings that highlighted complaints about sewage overflow, silt on the roads, uncovered manholes, lack of water, and low water pressure.
A total of 5,514 feedback calls were taken, and 3 percent of them expressed dissatisfaction. Additionally, 14 percent of the feedback indicated that reported issues were marked as resolved without actually being addressed.
In response to these findings, field-level officials have been instructed to visit these cases directly to ensure proper resolution. The inspection aimed to improve customer service and enhance transparency and accountability in customer care activities.
According to water board officials, in June, 1,30,899 tankers were booked and 1,86,251 trips were delivered. In the same month, 75,555 complaints were received, of which 75,496 were resolved.
