**Hyderabad:** Four people were arrested for having heroin and planning to sell it in Hyderabad. The Cyberabad police and TGNAB made the arrests on Saturday.
The police seized one kilogram of heroin worth Rs 7 crore and four mobile phones from the suspects. The arrested individuals are Nemi Chand Bhati, Narpath Singh, Ajay Bhatti, and Harish Sirvi. They all come from Rajasthan. The main supplier, Santosh Acharya, is currently in jail in Rajasthan.
Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, Avinash Mohanty, stated that Nemi Chand and Narpath Singh bought the heroin and brought it to the city to sell. Ajay Bhatti and Harish Sirvi, who know Nemi Chand, agreed to help him find buyers for the drugs. Nemi Chand regularly bought drugs from Acharya and sold them to customers. After getting the heroin, he discussed the plan to sell it with the other suspects.
Nemi Chand and Narpath Singh traveled to the city by bus with the drugs in a bag. They met with Ajay Bhatti and Harish Sirvi in Madhapur, where they were caught by the police.
The police are now trying to identify other people who were in contact with the four suspects and bought drugs from them. “We suspect the heroin was smuggled into the country from across the border. More details will emerge when we take Acharya into custody,” said Avinash Mohanty.
