In Hyderabad, doctors at Osmania General Hospital successfully performed a liver transplant on three-year-old boy Chohan Aditya, who had been dealing with gallbladder and liver issues since birth.

The surgery took place on July 3 after Chohan Aditya’s parents, Modugu Gunasekhar and Amala, brought him to the hospital from Konda Vanamala village in Khammam district. The surgical gastroenterology and liver transplant team, led by Osmania doctors Madhusudan, examined the boy and completed the transplant successfully.

Chohan Aditya’s mother, Amala, donated a portion of her liver for the transplant. Both mother and son are now safe and have been discharged from the hospital. According to Dr. B Nagender, the hospital superintendent, State government hospitals are providing excellent health services.
