Confusion is growing within the BRS party in Hyderabad as members speculate about who will be the next to leave. After losing eight MLAs and several MLCs to the Congress party, rumors are swirling that more MLAs may merge with the CLP soon. There are also rumors that Rajya Sabha members may merge with the BJP.
Party leaders are unsure of who will stay or leave, as even MLAs who had pledged support to BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao were deserting the party. Recently, Serilingampally MLA Arikepudi Gandhi joined the Congress, adding to the uncertainty within the party.
There are whispers that BRS is considering making peace with the BJP to combat Congress’ poaching strategy and protect leader K Kavitha from legal issues. Unconfirmed reports suggest that recent meetings between party leaders and senior BJP members in Delhi may signal an understanding between the two parties.
Despite these rumors, BRS leaders deny any plans to merge with the BJP. MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra has dismissed speculation of a merger, insisting that he will continue with BRS and attributing the rumors to individuals trying to tarnish the party’s reputation.
