    In Andhra Pradesh, forest officials stopped a vehicle carrying 246 tortoises from Kakinada to Odisha. The incident took place at the Tulasipaka Forest Check Post in the Alluri district. Unfortunately, 16 of the tortoises were found dead. The surviving tortoises will be freed into the Sabari River.
