Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has asked the Supreme Court to cancel a judicial commission on power. The case will be heard on Monday.

KCR filed a petition in the Supreme Court to stop the electricity commission appointed by the Telangana government. The Telangana High Court had previously rejected KCR’s petition. Now, KCR is challenging this decision in the Supreme Court. The case will be heard by a bench led by Chief Justice of India Justice DY Chandrachud, along with Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra.

The Justice L Narasimha Reddy Commission, which was set up to investigate irregularities in power purchases during the previous government, has issued notices to KCR twice. The Commission has asked for an explanation from KCR. Despite seeking a direction from the High Court to not be called for an inquiry, KCR’s petition was rejected. As a result, he has now turned to the Supreme Court for relief.
