The State government is seeking feedback from farmers to make a final decision on the ‘Rythu Bharosa’ scheme, as stated by Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao. The Cabinet Sub-Committee, which includes Tummala, is meeting with farmers to discuss how best to implement the crop assistance promised to them.

In a workshop held with farmers from the former Mahbubnagar district, committee members such as Revenue and Information Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Tourism and Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, and others discussed the importance of supporting small and marginal farmers who work hard to produce crops. They are gathering opinions on whether the Rythu Bharosa scheme should be extended to different types of landowners.

Farmers expressed the need for Rythu Bharosa to be provided to those who genuinely cultivate crops through hard work, and not to those who own large amounts of land or other properties. They also suggested extending the scheme to tenant farmers and providing subsidies for seeds, fertilizers, and machinery.
