    The District Administration in Rangareddy district is getting ready to crack down on land-sharks who are encroaching on government lands and water bodies. Collector K Shashanka met with officials from various departments to discuss the issue and come up with a plan of action.

    During the meeting, the Collector emphasized the need to protect government lands, Full Tank Levels (FTLs), and buffer zones of water bodies from encroachments. Two special task force teams have been formed to address the issue in different constituencies within the district.

    The Collector stressed the importance of taking immediate action on complaints received through the Prajavani programme or formal complaints. The task force teams, along with local officials, will work together to remove illegal constructions on government lands and within FTLs and buffer zones.

    Any negligence or laxity by officials in dealing with encroachments will result in disciplinary action under the CCA Act. Officials from various departments were present at the meeting to discuss and plan for the crackdown on land encroachments in Rangareddy district.
