Peddapalli: The new Collector, Koya Sriharsha, has been making his mark in the administration through surprise inspections of hostels and offices every day since taking charge. On his first day, he inspected the district hospital and the mother and child care centre. The following days saw visits to various schools and offices in different mandals, as part of random inspections of hospitals and schools.

Collector Sriharsha has been focusing on the performance of officials in the Collectorate and various departments. Within two days, three negligent officers were suspended. He is also directly taking complaints from the public and monitoring the performance of officials in their respective departments. Despite many officials being transferred since the formation of Peddapalli district, some have remained in their positions.

In the past, revenue officials were accused of corruption in settling Dharani issues, but no action was taken against them. Many of these officials are still working in different departments within the Collectorate. Sriharsha has requested details of officials who were transferred to Peddapalli due to political influence during the previous government, putting all departments on alert.

The Collector is personally reviewing the performance of all department officers. Recently, the R&B officer of Ramagund, District Ground Water Officer, and District Audit Officer were suspended for being absent from duty without informing their superiors.
