Malakajgiri MP Eatala Rajender stated that the party will decide who becomes the BJP state president, regardless of whether he is in the running for the position. He addressed the media on Thursday regarding elected representatives switching parties, emphasizing that those without positions switching parties is different from lawmakers violating the anti-defection law in Telangana.

Rajender criticized instances where lawmakers switch parties without resigning from their current party, calling it a clear violation of the law. He also mentioned previous instances of such behavior by KCR. He highlighted BJP’s growing vote share in Telangana, noting that despite not coming to power in 2023 as expected, their vote share has increased by 36% in just six months.

Eatala emphasized that BJP has the highest vote share in the country and expressed confidence in the party’s prospects in Telangana. He stated that despite various factors affecting their performance in previous elections, BJP’s growing popularity indicates a positive future for the party in the state.
