Former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, a popular leader in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, started from humble beginnings selling potatoes. He has been elected as MLA five times and served as a minister multiple times. Born on October 6, 1965, Srinivas Yadav began his political career in 1992 without any prior political connections. His father, Venkatesham Yadav, led the workers union in Monda Market, where Srinivas Yadav also did business. He entered politics to help solve the problems of the poor he saw firsthand at the market.
Srinivas Yadav caught the eye of former chief minister NT Rama Rao for his leadership skills and was given a ticket to contest in 1994. He won from Secunderabad on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party and became a minister in NTR’s cabinet at a young age. He continued to be an important leader for TDP in the city, playing a key role in the party under Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership.
Despite facing defeats in elections, Srinivas Yadav persisted and won multiple times from different constituencies. After joining BRS on a call from KCR, he became a minister and retained his seat in 2018. Known for his involvement in the Bonalu festivities in the city, Srinivas Yadav is a popular mass leader who is always available for his constituents.
Married to Swarna with one son and two daughters, Srinivas Yadav is affectionately known as Seenanna by the people he serves. Throughout his 30-year political career, he has remained dedicated to addressing the needs of his community.
