    Jagtial MLA M Sanjay Kumar expressed his goal of developing the Jagtial constituency after joining the Congress. He emphasized his intention to work alongside MLC T Jeevan Reddy, despite reports of Reddy being unhappy with his party switch.

    Kumar spoke to the media, highlighting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s promise to enhance development in Jagtial as a key factor in his decision to join the Congress. He mentioned that the government had allocated Rs.32.16 crore for improving facilities in two-bedroom houses in the area.

    Coming from a political family with notable figures like Makunuri Sriranga Rao and former minister J Chokka Rao, Kumar shared his background of supporting TDP’s L Ramana during the Congress’s previous rule. He also mentioned his entry into politics with the help of MLC K Kavitha.

    During a party event, Kumar addressed criticism from BRS working president K T Rama Rao and urged for respectful politics within the democratic system. He questioned why Congress MLAs were not invited to join the pink party and called for self-reflection among BRS leaders criticizing him.
