School students in Manyamkonda participated in the Vanamahostavam programme on Tuesday. It was inaugurated by Mahabubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy at Sri Alivelu Mangamma Temple. Zillah Parishad Chairman Swarna Sudhakar Reddy and District Collector Vizeyendira Boyi also took part in the event organized by the State Government and Forest Department.

During the event, Yennam stressed the importance of tree plantation for human life. He announced a goal of planting one million plants in the district and encouraged everyone to not only plant trees but also ensure their survival. The MLA emphasized the need for tangible results rather than just setting records and enlisted the help of social activists to achieve the target.

Yennam urged people of all ages, from six to sixty, to plant and protect saplings. He specifically called on farmers to participate, explaining that the decrease in tree population poses a threat to human existence. He recommended that each person plant at least ten trees to support future generations.
