    District Collector Jitesh V. met with officials from various departments in the conference hall of the IDOC office to discuss the goals of planting saplings for Vanamahotsavam. Patil also had a meeting with District Forest Officer Krishna Goud to set a target of planting 65,000 saplings. District authorities are working to exceed this target by coordinating with different departments.

    The officers were instructed to create an action plan for obtaining saplings from the forest department nursery. Locations for planting the saplings must be identified, pits must be dug, and steps should be taken to care for the plants. Each planted plant will be geo-tagged to track its progress. The Education Department was advised to ensure that every school premises has specific plants like munaga, curry leaves, chinta, amla, and velag. Engineering officials were asked to plant subabu saplings along both sides of all canals in the district.
