In Hyderabad, teacher aspirants protested at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s residence because of delays in filling teacher positions at Gurukul Schools. They demanded that all 9,210 teacher posts be filled without any vacancies left unfilled. The aspirants also called for the implementation of High Court interim orders to consider meritorious candidates for various teaching positions.
The protestors have been waiting for jobs for the last five months and are not asking for free jobs, but for a merit list to be issued and all posts to be filled. They vowed to continue the protest until a merit list is issued. The government was urged to respond immediately to their demands.
The teacher job aspirants also demanded the immediate issuance of a merit list with the next eligible candidates for the vacancies. They emphasized the need for filling positions such as degree lecturers, junior lecturers, postgraduate teachers, trained graduate teachers, librarians, and physical director roles. The protest aimed to draw attention to the need for timely action from the government in addressing these issues.
