    Hyderabad’s Deputy Chief Minister, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, stated that the government will not tolerate any involvement in narcotics and drug trafficking. He made this warning during an event organized by the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau to mark the International Day for Prevention of Illegal Use and Transport of Narcotics. Vikramarka emphasized that it is everyone’s responsibility to eliminate the drug problem, which is negatively impacting the youth and the nation’s future.

    During the event, Vikramarka praised the strength and capability of the Telangana police system in apprehending those involved in drug trafficking. He assured that there will be sufficient funds allocated to prevent illegal drug trafficking in the state. Vikramarka also highlighted the importance of good company for youth and the destructive nature of drugs on family life and society.

    The Deputy Chief Minister suggested that strengthening the police’s information network, including forming anti-drug committees in all villages, could help control the drug menace. He also released an anti-drug awareness song at the event. The event was attended by Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, State DGP Ravi Gupta, Anti-Narcotics director Sandeep Shandilya, City Police Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, and other top police officials.
