The University of Hyderabad (UoH) administration clarified the suspension of five students who apologized for protesting at the Vice Chancellor’s residence. The students requested reconsideration of their punishment, which will be discussed in a future university executive council meeting.

The university suspended five students, including the students’ union president, Mohammed Ateeq Ahmed, for one semester and fined them Rs 10,000 for participating in the protest. Additionally, five more SFI UoH unit office bearers were also fined Rs 10,000.
