    In June, the Rangareddy district experienced below-average rainfall. The normal rainfall for June is 94.0 mm, but as of June 25, only 79.8 mm had been recorded. This is slightly less than the 82.6 mm of rainfall that was recorded in June of the previous year.

    Out of the 27 mandals in the district, six were classified as having a deficit in rainfall, while three received scanty rainfall. Only eight mandals received normal showers this month. Overall, the district has seen a decline in rainfall over the last five years.

    The annual normal seasonal rainfall for Rangareddy is 725.8 mm, but the actual rainfall recorded so far this month is only 81.6 mm, resulting in a variation of -88.8%. The highest rainfall in recent years was recorded in 2020–21 at 1225.2 mm.

    Despite some mandals receiving excess rainfall, many areas in the district are still awaiting adequate showers to kickstart the monsoon season. The lack of consistent rainfall has been a concern for the region.

    Overall, the trend in seasonal rains in Rangareddy shows a decrease in the amount of rainfall over the years. The district has experienced fluctuations in rainfall levels, with some years seeing above-average rainfall while others fall short of expectations.

    As the district continues to experience inconsistent rainfall patterns, officials are closely monitoring the situation to ensure that the region receives the necessary amount of rainfall for agricultural and water needs.
