The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has confirmed that the prices for the Rs.300 Special Entry Darshan (SED) and Rs.50 laddu prasadam at Tirumala Sri Venkateswara temple have not changed. They are warning people not to trust fake news on social media.
There were rumors circulating on WhatsApp groups with phone numbers claiming to offer Rs.300 SED tickets at high prices for darshan in Tirumala. TTD is urging devotees to only book tickets through the official TTD website to avoid falling for scams.
Some tickets have been allocated to tourism departments of different states. Devotees interested in visiting through tourism can get darshan package tickets directly from the state tourism website instead of using middlemen.
The vigilance wing of TTD has discovered brokers charging large sums from innocent people for booking tickets through the tourism website. TTD has warned that strict action will be taken against these brokers and is asking devotees to only book through official TTD and tourism websites.
