Two robbers, one wearing a burqa, tried to rob a jewelry store in Kompally, Medchal district. The shop owner was hurt but managed to yell for help, scaring off the robbers.
The incident happened around 11 am when the robbers pretended to be customers. One had on a burqa and the other a helmet. They went into the Jagdamba jewelry shop, attacked the owner with a knife, and demanded gold and cash.
Despite being attacked, the owner ran outside and called for help. A brave person inside the shop threw a chair at the robbers, causing them to flee on a bike.
The shop owner reported the incident to the police, who started an investigation. The owner said the robbers stole some gold items. The police are checking footage from nearby cameras.
Senior police officers and the clues team visited the store to gather evidence.
