    Government to aggressively fill vacancies in public hospitals

    The State government in Hyderabad is working to fill vacant positions in the Medical and Health department and government hospitals to improve public health services.

    They have started the process of filling vacancies for civil assistant surgeons, lab technicians, and staff nurses. The government plans to fill 531 posts for civil assistant surgeons to address the shortage of doctors and provide better medical care.

    The Telangana State Medical Health Services Recruitment Board will soon issue notifications for these positions. Once assistant surgeons are hired, the board will focus on appointing surgeons as needed in Primary Health Centers.

    Additionally, there are vacancies for lab technicians in diagnostic test centers. The Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad will release a notification to fill 193 lab technician positions. Staff nurse positions in various hospitals will also be filled, with 31 posts to be filled according to TSMHSRB’s notification.
