Officials from the Road Transport Authority (RTA) in Ranga Reddy district started taking action against bus operators who were not following the rules. The Joint Deputy Transport Commissioner, M Chandrashekhar Goud, had warned the operators the day before about using buses that were over 15 years old or did not have the proper documents.

Teams of officials began inspecting buses in the district to make sure they were following the rules, especially as schools were about to reopen after a month-long break. They focused on checking school buses to ensure they had all the necessary documents.

The authorities made it clear that buses from educational institutions that were over 15 years old would not be allowed on the roads.
