An awareness program was held at the Zilla Parishad High School (Boys) in Nagarkurnool to mark World Anti-Child Labor Day. The event was organized by the District Legal Service Organization, Nagarkurnool, following orders from the Telangana State Legal Service Authority. G Sabitha, the Secretary of Nagarkurnool District Legal Service Authority, attended the program as the Chief Guest. She emphasized that children under 14 years of age should not be engaged in physical work, as it is against the law.
Sabitha highlighted the importance of education for children, stating that studying can lead to a bright future and success. She urged parents to enroll all boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 14 in school to ensure they receive an education. Additionally, she encouraged students to pay attention in class and utilize cell phones for educational purposes.
The Secretary stressed that children who are deprived of education often end up in exploitative labor situations, facing violence and hardship. To combat child labor, she emphasized the need for universal education. The event was attended by Headmaster Latha, several advocates, teachers, students, and court staff, all of whom showed their support for eradicating child labor through education.
