Hyderabad’s Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha met with hotel owners in the city and urged them to be responsible and avoid food adulteration. He warned of strict consequences for those who do not comply. At the meeting held at the Secretariat, the minister emphasized the importance of providing quality food, especially since Hyderabadi Biryani has gained international recognition. Rajanarsimha also highlighted the city’s efforts to become a medical tourism hub and solidify its reputation as the food capital of India.
The minister stressed the need for hotel owners to act socially responsible and announced plans for awareness seminars and workshops to be held every six months. During the meeting, Rajanarsimha listened to various requests from hotel owners and responded positively. Representatives from different associations such as Restaurants Association, Oil Merchants Association, Bar and Restaurants, Indian Daily Milk Products Association, Telangana Packaged Drinking Water Association, Telangana Roller Flour Millers, Bakery and Ice Creams Association were present.
Overall, the meeting served as a platform for dialogue between the health minister and hotel owners, emphasizing the importance of providing quality, unadulterated food in order to maintain Hyderabad’s reputation as a top food destination.
