Dialysis patients at the district hospital in Nagar Kurnool are facing challenges due to neglect and lack of proper care. Patients have to wait for hours before receiving treatment, which can be harmful to their health as dialysis sessions are supposed to last for about four hours.

Treatment schedules are supposed to start at 6 am, but delays often lead to incomplete treatments. The dialysis ward is in poor condition, with unhygienic surroundings adding to the patients’ suffering. Complaints about cleanliness and neglect have been ignored.

Recently, none of the four scheduled staff members arrived until after 7:30 am, leaving patients feeling neglected and at risk. Patients also complain about disrespectful behavior from the staff. The contractor responsible for maintaining the ward has not provided necessary facilities, causing frustration among patients.

There are 36 dialysis patients in the district relying on this hospital. The shortage of staff and resources makes it hard for these patients to get the care they need. Patients are urging authorities to take immediate action to address these issues.
