Agricultural experts met with farmers at Gangaram Rythuvedika in Bijinapalli mandal of Nagarkurnool district to discuss seed purchasing precautions for the rainy season. Farmers were advised to check the packing date, testing date, expiry date, and GEAC approval on seed packets before buying. It was also emphasized that loose seeds should not be purchased, and anyone selling loose seeds in the village should inform agriculture officials. Farmers were also urged not to burn rice stalks to avoid environmental pollution and nutrient depletion in the soil.

At the meeting, scientists from Satyanarayana College of Agriculture conducted soil tests in Gangaram village, with results expected next year. Additionally, farmers were informed that one farmer from Gangaram village would receive free corn, sorghum, and rice seeds as part of the village’s adoption program.

Agricultural experts also provided information on horticultural crops and vegetables to the farmers. The event was attended by scientists Charan Teja, Satyanarayana, Bhanushree, AEO Farid Pasha, and village farmers.
