Former Union Minister and Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy believes that the BJP is gaining popularity in Telangana, with more people trusting the party. He mentioned that in the last 10 years, the BJP has won 8 MLA and MP seats in both United Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which is a significant achievement.

According to Reddy, the BJP’s vote share has been steadily increasing since 2014. In the 2014 Assembly elections, the party secured 8.5% of the votes with 20,40,350 votes. This share increased to 19.65% with 36,26,173 votes in the 2018 Assembly elections. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP received 35.08% of the votes with 76,47,424 votes. This growth shows that the BJP has gained support from about 40 lakh voters and 14 lakh families in the past five years.

Reddy also highlighted that the Congress only saw a one percent increase in votes from the assembly to the general elections, while other parties like BRS lost relevance. The BJP emerged victorious in eight places and came second in six places in recent elections.
