The Telangana State Haj Committee has raised concerns about poor conditions for Haj pilgrims in buildings No. 127 and 466 in Aziziya, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In a letter to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Shaik Liyakat Hussain highlighted the need for better facilities.

Hussain pointed out issues like cockroach and rodent infestations, broken geysers, lack of exhaust fans, non-functional refrigerators, inadequate air conditioning, damaged electrical sockets, and poor sanitary fittings in the buildings. Essential services like drinking water, general water supply, washing machines, and gas stoves were also lacking.

The lack of basic amenities has caused frustration among the pilgrims, who are also facing difficulties due to the absence of sufficient kitchen facilities meant to serve 25 people. The letter called for immediate action from officials in Jeddah to address these grievances and ensure proper facilities for the pilgrims.

The Haj Committee of India and the Consulate General of India in Jeddah were also urged to take swift action in response to the letter.
