The Sangareddy District Police Office, led by District SP Mr. Chennuri Rupesh I.P.S., has launched a program called “MY AUTO IS SAFE” to ensure safe travel for people in the district, especially focusing on women’s safety. The program addresses issues related to auto travel in Sangareddy.

At a press meet held at the Sangareddy New Bus stand on May 27, 2024, District SP Mr. Chennuri Rupesh I.P.S. announced that around 2000 autos in Sangareddy and nearby areas will be stickered with “MY AUTO IS SAFE” stickers on the front, back, and driver’s seat. All autos in the district will also have these stickers for passenger safety.

Passengers are encouraged to check for the sticker before riding in an auto as a safety signal. If passengers face any problems like misbehavior or harassment by the auto driver, they can scan the QR code behind the driver’s seat to access detailed driver information on their phones. By submitting a complaint through options like ‘Complaint’, ‘Compliant to She-Team’, ‘Emergency’, and ‘Rate Your Auto’, passengers can ensure their concerns are quickly addressed by the Sangareddy District Police Office control room.
