Boobytraps set by banned Maoist party militants in a forest area near the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border village of Bhimaram seriously injured two tribal women. The women were in critical condition but survived. District SP Rohit Raju IPS issued a statement warning about the dangers posed by the banned CPI-Maoist party militants, who are targeting innocent tribal people in the region. The tribals are living in fear due to boobytraps and IEDs set up with malicious intent by the militants.

On Saturday (25.05.2024), trees were cut across the road between Pusaguppa and Unjupalli villages, disrupting the movement of tribal people. The Maoists are committing atrocities and restricting the adivasi people to the wildlife, raising questions about the motives behind their actions. The leaders of the Maoist party are urged to address the issues faced by the common people and consider surrendering to the police for a chance at a normal life.
