A team of experts has started a study at Medigadda barrage to assess the repairs needed for the damaged piers. The State Government requested this study, and a three-member team from the Central Water and Power Research Station in Pune visited the barrage for this purpose.
The team, consisting of experts in geotechnical investigations, geophysical investigations, and NDT studies, will analyze the feasibility of repairing the barrage. They will collect information from State Irrigation officials about the design and construction technology used for the barrage to understand its current condition.
The goal of the study is to prepare a report on the repairs needed for the damaged piers at Medigadda barrage. This report will help in determining the best course of action to ensure the safety and functionality of the structure.
