Playgrounds in the Old City of Hyderabad have become a gathering spot for troublemakers. Recently, youth engaging in bad behavior like fighting, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, and even using drugs have been causing problems in these areas.

Residents of HIG Colony in Santoshnagar phase-III have been dealing with these issues on a daily basis. The colony was built in 1995 with all expenses covered by the residents. The parks and playgrounds within the colony were meant for the residents’ use, but people from outside areas have been causing disturbances, especially at the playground near the Old Santoshnagar police station.
